Hands in the air et pouces levés, on en veut encore !

5/ Looking For My Name
6/ Point de Suture
7/ Réveiller le Monde
8/ Sextonik
9/ C'est Dans L'air
10/ Si J'avais au Moins Revu Ton Visage

(11/ Ave Maria ?)

On l'aime notre soeur tristesse !

5/ Looking For My Name (4:17)

Diane Warren’s realsongs from the heart

Summer's here though the sun may not always be but for sure the music releases are slow too so in lack of new hit, I've decided to write a little about one of the greatest and most prolific songwriter ever : Madame Diane Warren.

She has been the first songwriter in the US Billboard history to have seven hits in the singles charts at the same time, all by different artists. Everyone knows at least one song by her, even if you don't know that song was written by her ; Celine Dion's, Because you loved me, Toni Braxton's Un-break my heart, DeBarge's Rhythm of the night, Christine Aguilera's I turn to you or Aerosmith's I don't want to miss a thing from the film Armageddon soundtrack... the list of songs she has written is endless, all in different styles and often by numerous singers. But the leading point is she writes about love, in a highly melodic mid-tempo ballad kind of way.
You can find it strange to read me write about some middle of the road middle-aged songwriting lady but her songs often touch you in the heart, no matter what kind of music you like, and there's nothing better than a dance remix of a Diane Warren song. Speeded up with some house beats, her ballads become anthemic dance hits :

You haven't seen the last of me (Almighty radio edit / Dave Audé radio edit / Stonebridge radio edit) Cher

You're where I belong (Soul Solution radio mix) Trisha Yearwood

Another fact that is incredible from Diane Warren is that most of her songs were written by her alone. She did co-wrote with other songwriters, like Steve Angelica at her debut, then Robbie Buchanan, Albert Hammond or Desmond Child, or with some artists wanting to record her song, like Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey or Gloria Estefan, but a lot more of her hits were written solo by her. And it's no mysteries here ; Diane considers songwriting as a full-time job, she has a 12 hour / six-day-a-week writing schedule and runs her own publishing company RealSongs, that has a more than 800 songs catalogue.

So I am going to list here those I know/own and will try to update it from time to time. Everyone is welcome to add a comment with additional entries !
